Bill Renfrew - guitar and bass.
Bill leans toward rock and blues and contemporary Christian but he also loves alternative, country and jazz. He studied intently in Maryland under the Herb Ellis protégé, Steve Abshire.
Bill’s approach to teaching is less about ”proper technique” than it is teaching the student what he/she want s to learn. “My belief is the easiest way for you to play what you want to play is the way you should learn…. Within reason of course!”
Bill teaches primarily by ear and while he encourages student to learn the theory behind the music, he never forces it on his students. “Some people just want to learn to play guitar and don’t care why they’re playing what they’re playing. That’s ok. But if you’re serious about being a musician you’ll be naturally curious about the “why” behind what you’re playing.”
Bill offers both individual and group classes on bass and guitar.

 Shawn Cusick - Guitar
With 30 years experience playing, Shawn brings new age and old school Metal, Punk, Classic Rock, Classical Guitar, Acoustics, and elements of percussion to White Bluff Music.
Offering Saturday hours with group and private sessions available.
Metal is based on classical music. Guitar chords and scales in Metal are played fast and furious. The emotional side to metal that will be taught allows the students to focus on simplistic, slow plyaing which gives the students the elements of Mozart, Sebastian Bach and Spanish Guitar such as Carlos Montoya. Diminished and augmented scales are the secret that will give you the keys to succeed in any style, including Country and Blue Grass. |
